I am currently taking a photography course and recently had an assignment to take photos of colorful things. I thought, well, what's colorful around me? To find inspiration I first decided to take a photography walk. I walked around the block and looked for interesting things in nature. I took many photos, and though they were good, none of them could beat the color of the grass or flower photos I had previously taken. The grass is a vivid dark green color, with a shallow depth of field. The flower photo is a ruby-red flower against a pretty green background. When I saw these photos I just knew they fit the assignment. I also chose a photo of my teal flip-flops on a dark, neutral floor. They were naturally lying there and I realized it would make a very good subject. The last photo I selected was taken of a recycled-bottle art project. Recycled plastic water bottles were cut and painted different colors. That was one of the first things that popped to my mind when I first got the assignment. Taking these color photos has been so fun and I look forward to future projects like this!
